| CENTENNIAL YEAR CELEBRATIONS
2012 is our church's centennial year. The McCall Congregational Church was established shortly after the town was settled. Early pioneers had come from New England and had been members of Congregational Churches there, so naturally they wanted that to be the church of their new home.
Even though we have just entered our 100th year, the fun began two years ago with fund-raising events to support th e anniversary party we will have August 11th.
We worked together to create our first-ever church cookbook, titled "Tastes of Generations." This was followed by a "Tastes of Generations" potluck dinner featuring recipes from the cookbook.

Ward Hooper, famed artist, created a commissioned painting of our church with a vintage theme. Prints and greeting cards from the painting were sold. The design provided the cover art for the cookbook.

Another local artist, Bobbi Kelli, designed beautiful Christmas cards featuring her vision of our church building in winter.
An ice cream social, Kookys and Cream, had the congregation dressing in thier best combinations of winter and summer wear - at the same time - and eating ice cream for Halloween.

We marked the beginning of our 100th year with an Anniversary Kickoff Picnic at the pastor's home in August of 2011.

Lucky for us, Jana Jae and her family, frequent musical guests in our church, were in town and provided us a wonderful program.
Singing Valentines were a big hit last year and will be offered again this year for anyone you would like to romance or pay a special tribute to.
